Emerson Morgan

Emerson Morgan (Center Fellow/Graduate Associate; 2008-2012) is a Ph.D. student in Historical Musicology at Harvard. His research interests include medieval Latin chant and polyphony, psalmody, manuscript studies, and the materiality of complex objects used in music-making, such as liturgical books and architectural environment. Morgan studied at Vassar (A.B., Music) and at Yale Divinity School (M.A.R., Religion and the Arts). From 2001 to 2007 Morgan worked on the staff of ARTstor, a digital library of images for teaching and study in the arts, architecture, humanities, and sciences.
